He was described as a tall and fair handsome man by sources. When he was 17 years old he joined the Roman Army. George soon became an elected official within the army and was in charge of 1, 000 men. This position he held was called a Tribune. He however had converted to the Christian faith, which was forbidden by the Romans. The Emperor Diocletian persecuted the church with the hope of reviving the pagan religion. Rebelling against the Emperor of Rome! George rebelled against the Emperor and protected the Christians. He was subsequently tortured and beheaded on April 23rd 303. Due to his bravery and protecting Christians he was eventually recognized as a saint in 900AD. Accounts also show that he performed miracles. His emblem comprises a red cross over a white background, which is the English flag we all know of today. Even the Crusaders and Richard the Lionheart would wear a red cross on their white tunics to symbolize chivalry and bravery. They had brought this emblem of Saint George to Britain sometime in the 12th Century. Two hundred years after that he was recognized as the Patron Saint of England. The Story of the Dragon If you are familiar with Saint George then you may have heard the story about how he slayed a dragon. This story is said to represent good against evil. However, even though it is said to be a story there is a belief that a dragon was slayed on Dragon Hill in Uffington, Berkshire. It is also said that the grass does not grow on the spot where the dragon died. Saint Andrew – Patron Saint of Scotland Saint Andrew was born in the early 1st Century and, like his brother Peter, was one of Jesus’s twelve disciples. He was originally from the fishing village of Bethsaida on the northeastern shore of the Sea of Galilee. Both Andrew and Peter were fishermen. Leader of the Church! Later he would become the leader of a church but was crucified in Patras in Greece towards the end of the 1st Century. He chose to be crucified on a cross that was in the shape of an X, rather than the traditional T shape that his master Jesus died on. This X crucifix is called “ The Saltire “. Constantine the Great would later take his remains to capital city of Rome, Constantinople. But where are his remains? Legend says that 300 years after Andrew’s death either an Irish or Greek monk took these remains ” to the ends of the earth “. The monk, St Rule, did so under the instruction of an angel. He took a number of Andrew’s fragments, but was shipwrecked on the east coast of Scotland during his journey. The place where he was shipwrecked is now called St Andrews. However, there is another legend that persists to the origin of this settlement. It is said that a bishop brought over the relics of St Andrew in 733 and housed them in the chapel there. The Picts and the Scots in the year 832AD went to war against the Angles. The leader of this army, Oengus, vowed that if they were victorious then Saint Andrew would become the Patron Saint of Scotland. During the morning of the battle white clouds were said to have made an X shape against the blue sky. The Picts and Scots were subsequently victorious. Saint David – Patron Saint of Wales Saint David was born in South West Wales in Britain, unlike the Patron Saints of England and Scotland. His life though was not recorded until 500 years after his death. So, it cannot be said accurately what happened during his life. (Although there are even some disputes or disagreements with regard to Saint George and Andrew anyway). Links to royalty! On David’s father’s side he is said to have links with a Welsh prince, whilst his mother may have been a niece of the famous King Arthur. He was born sometime in the late 5th or early 6th Century. His education was within a monastery and as a result of this upbringing he became a missionary and would travel throughout Wales, England and a region of France known as Brittany. On his travels he converted the pagan Celts that he met to Christianity. He apparently lived to be 100 years old and died on March 1st 589. He was buried in his monastery in South West Wales. This is now the site of the impressive St David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire.  March 1st is thus celebrated by the Welsh as St David’s Day. Saint Patrick – Patron Saint of Ireland Saint Patrick was born in Britain to Roman parents, although his date of birth is not known. It is known that the year was 385AD. His father and grandfather were both religious. His father was a deacon, while his grandfather was a priest. Hard life as a slave! He was brought over to Ireland by Irish raiders when he was only 16 years old. He worked as a shepherd in County Antrim, but his life was very hard as he had to endure six years of this slavery. After this time he managed to escape and return home to Britain. Despite this harsh life he learned the Celtic language and also the Celtic religion from his master who himself was a druid. This education helped him later for his missionary work among the Celtic people when he came back to Ireland. The reason for his return was because he imagined them calling for him to come back and walk among them. This is described in a surviving letter of Patrick’s. His date of death was March 17th 461AD. Hinako is a surfer, Minato is a firefighter. Both about 20 and they fall in love. Everything is ridiculously perfect, but one day Minato drowns while trying to save someone from the ocean.
Hinako, understandably takes it pretty bad, but to her surprise, whenever she starts singing their favorite song, Minato's spirit appears in the closest body of water - be it a stream, the ocean, or a bottle of mineral water.
The whole story is really about Hinako, Minato's friends and family, and how they slowly but finally learn to "let go.
Of course, it's magical-realism, so in the end we get to witness some crazy action as well, where we surf down a skyscraper with our protagonists.
Unfortunately, this is not the most original story, the characters are a little two dimensional, and the filmmaking could've been a little braver.
It's fine though, the film looks really nice, colorful with constantly glowing orange hues and cool blues. The action looks fantastic as well and the environments feel very "lived in" and detailed. Seeing it on a big screen really adds to the experience.
It is also paced well, has some pretty funny moments, as well as a couple of quite moving ones.
Recommended if you manage to catch it screening somewhere, but not an essential viewing.

Free Online Lang jian shang de yue ding. When I first watched the film, I thought the pacing was way too quick for me to actually understand what was going on. Although I will say that the fire fighter scenes were pretty intense regardless if they were only training or had to attend buildings that were on fire due to fireworks.
I understood this films backdrop involving the feeling of losing someone through drowning and honestly the ending was a near hard hitter for me. However I would have liked if the couples experience together was more in depth because as I said yet again, it was rather rushed. It didn't give much in depth either with the other guy who had a crush on her or if he was going for someone else. Since I'm not gonna say spoilers to telling you who's who, it's best to watch the film.
Animation wise, it was pretty alright. Not amazeballs but it was easy on the eyes at least.
As much as the film did offer a bit of emotion, it's not the ultimate worse or disappointment I've ever seen. However room for improvement is what it definitely definitely needs in terms of story pace development.

The players stand and look agape, the referee fumbles his whistle, and when his feet land back onto the Earth, he’s changed the game. Now, Semi-Pro is an irreverent and silly film, but I tend to think that’s what happened when Kenny Sailors — basketball legend and inventor of the jumpshot — first fired off his elegantly formed shot. Kenny Sailors wasn’t a braggart. Far from it. He’d rather talk about his marriage to the love of his life Marilyn, or his time in the Marines during World War II, or the women’s high school basketball team who he coached to several state championships than talk about himself or that “silly” shot. Director Jacob Hamilton ‘s Jumpshot: The Kenny Sailors Story uncovers two facts that’s long been apparent: Kenny Sailors invented the modern jumpshot and he was a singular and amazing man. Hamilton’s documentary opens in 2011 in an empty gym. There’s an establishing shot of a basketball sitting idly on the floor. In walks an old man. He picks up the basketball, dribbles it off the floor, then bounces it off the floor for a basket. That’s Kenny Sailors, still gleefully outplaying people my age. Sailors, for the most part, is long forgotten. When Bobby Knight, Jerry Krause, Steph Curry, Dirk Nowitzski, Nancy Lieberman, Tim Legler, etc. are asked who invented the jumpshot, their faces squirm with the same puzzlement Sailors’ former opponents must have had 80 years ago. What follows is a journey from Laramie, Wyoming to Alaska to the annals of basketball lore. Hamilton, in his research for the film, uncovers some truly amazing archival footage — not just of basketball, but of Sailors’ life too. We see old photographs of Sailors, footage of his wife as a drum majorette, Laramie, Wyoming, his high school, and his games. And his games are incredible, especially his two David vs. Goliath moments: First, when his Wyoming team won the NCAA tournament, then when he beat back East Coast bias to defeat the NIT champions Saint John’s. Incredibly, Sailors played a different brand of basketball than anyone who had come before him. His brand began with the jumpshot, which he fashioned because he couldn’t beat his taller brother Bud in one-on-ones. So like many other great discoveries and achievements, the jumpshot was born from sibling rivalry. But Sailors was more than his shot. He was an adept ball handler, possessed stop-on-a-dime speed and quickness, and was an adroit defender. When Hamilton uses footage from Sailors’ games, especially from the NCAA tournament, or the famous photo from Life Magazine of Sailors rising over his flat-footed foes, we get a sense of just how far ahead he was of everyone else. Seeing him play is like watching the guy who presented sliced bread for the first time, he just cuts so smooth. And when current and former NBA and WNBA players see a picture of Sailors’ jumpshot, it’s like they’ve seen Santa Claus and the Eastern Bunny watching Jordan playing the Knicks at MSG. They’re just in awe. But the most marvelous component of Hamilton’s documentary is Kenny Sailors. Your documentary is only as good as your subject, and Hamilton has an incredible subject. Sailors is humble, aware, and just a hoot. His lust for life and energy rivals those half his age, and his sense of humor is as fluid as his playing. At one point, he jokes about suing the NBA for $5, 000 for the use of his jumshot. Much like Sailors must have been a player from a different era to his contemporaries, he feels like a man from a different time to us. Sailors isn’t in the Hall of Fame. He’s not in the Naismith Hall of Fame because he went to Alaska for three and a half decades, because his wife had asthma and that was the best place for her. He’s not in because he spent his life coaching women’s high school basketball rather than appearing on CBS as a commentator. He’s not in because he rarely brags about himself. But by not being in — as much as that will confound your brain — in some measure he proves how much more there is to life than accolades. Sailors should be in the Hall of Fame, but if you leave Hamilton’s touching documentary with only that in mind then you’ve missed the point. And much like the players he whizzed past in his youth, you’ve also missed Kenny Sailors. An official selection of SXSW 2019.
